Accessibility statement

How accessible Ghumooz is today, what we know still falls short, and how to tell us when something blocks you — with a reply commitment, not just an address.

1.Our commitment

Ghumooz aims to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA across the traveller site — browsing and searching trips, creating an account, booking, and managing a booking. Accessibility is treated as part of whether a feature works, not as a later pass.

Every release runs an automated accessibility scan over the public traveller flows, and a build with a serious or critical violation does not ship.

2.Current status — partially conformant

The site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA: most of it meets the standard, and some of it has not yet been assessed. We say this rather than claiming full conformance because an independent manual audit has not been completed, and automated testing detects only part of what the standard covers.

Known limitations we are working on:

  • Third-party content we embed — payment checkout screens and the map used for live trip tracking — is rendered by those providers, and we do not control its accessibility.
  • Photographs uploaded by trip organizers may carry unhelpful or missing alternative text; the organizer tools do not yet require it.
  • Documents attached to a booking (itineraries, invoices from organizers) are supplied as provided and may not be tagged for screen readers. Ask us and we will send the same information in an accessible format.
  • Complex screens — the live trip map and some charts — have not been manually audited.

3.Tell us when something blocks you

If any part of Ghumooz prevents you from doing something — booking a trip, reading a document, reaching support — tell us and we will help you complete it directly while we fix the underlying problem.

Write to manish@ghumooz.com or call 9136729919. Please describe the page and what happened; if you use assistive technology, telling us which one helps us reproduce it.

We respond within 48 hours. This is the same published contact that handles grievances, so an accessibility complaint is tracked the same way as any other — it does not sit in an unattended mailbox.

4.How this was assessed

Self-assessment, supported by automated testing with axe-core running in our test suite over the public traveller flows (landing and search, sign-up, sign-in, and the legal pages), against WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

An independent manual audit — including screen-reader and keyboard-only testing of the booking flow — is planned and not yet complete. This statement will be updated with its findings and date when it is.
